11 Weeks Pregnant – What to Expect

Ah, we’re passed the 10th week and are feeling somewhat accomplished.  Pregnancy is a long road that throws many things at us.  From feeling nauseous to extremely tired to excited when the baby is coming, our emotions are all over the place.  If you’re currently 11 weeks pregnant, find out what is happening during this time!

11 Weeks Pregnant – What to Expect:

Mother:  At this time, you are still feeling tired and not in the mood to do a whole lot.  We’ve sort of lost that motivation thanks to our wonderful hormones.  Headaches are also common during this time.  Our body is changing at a drastic rate so all that is going on is overwhelming to our body.  If you have headaches at this time, it is said that you should not take any Motrin or Ibuprofen.  Instead, they recommend small dosages of Tylenol (and this should be when your head hurts pretty bad.)

Your Baby:  Congratulations, all your baby’s little organs are now mostly developed and functioning!  This is a great point to reach because your chance of a miscarriage decreases more and more everyday.  You will also find that your baby’s ears are moving into place while their nailbeds for both fingers and toes are starting to form!  You will also find that your little one either has ovaries or testes at this point!  Although, unfortunately we can’t find out the gender until around 16-18 weeks.  What’s even more amazing is that your baby only weighs a third of an ounce, how tiny!

Pregnancy is such an exciting time!  There is so much going on and so much changing each week that we love to read about what is happening.  Your symptoms and baby will make changes every week so make sure you take the time to read about what’s going on.

I found that I loved to read pregnancy books throughout my pregnancy.  They give great tips, tell you what’s going on with your body and baby and make everything much more clear!
