5 Fun Halloween Snacks for Kids

When we have children, holidays are so much more fun!  One holiday that I really enjoy because of my kids is Halloween.  Not only can we dress them up in cute costumes, but we can also help out with their Halloween parties at school.  When our children have these parties, it’s always fun to make snacks for them the night before.  Not only do we enjoy it, but so do our children.  Need some help coming up with Halloween snacks?  Continue reading below for ideas.

Original:  There are of course the original ideas like making a cake, cupcakes or cookies that are decorated with a Halloween theme.  Although, if you’re looking to be more creative, keep reading!

Apple slices:  One really cool Halloween snack is decorating apple slices.  What you want to do is cut up an apple in a few slices.  Then, carve it so it looks like a mouth with teeth.  It’s pretty cool once it’s finished!

Dirt cake:  Dirt cake is always yummy.  Get the supplies, get some smashed oreo cookies, and layer it nicely in a bowl.  Then, get some gummy worms or some fake plastic pieces for spiders or other Halloween creatures and decorate the cake.

Marshmellow monsters:  This is also a fun idea!  Get some long pretzel sticks, and put marshmellows on top.  Then, roll them in cool wip lightly and then dip them into sprinkles.  Now, decorate the hats and faces with other candies like m&ms and candy corn.

Pretzels:  We all love a good pretzel!  Find the recipe online to make them, and then turn them into the shape of bones, witch hats, cats, or any other ideas you can come up with.  This can be really cute, and just as tasty as regular pretzels!

Halloween is a great time for your children to use their imagination.  Spend some time in the kitchen coming up with clever Halloween snacks for their class, or for your family Halloween party!
