Being pregnant is one of the most incredible things you’ll ever witness. Between seeing a positive pregnancy test, preparing the nursery, finding out the gender, feeling your baby move for the first time, and actually giving birth, it’s an experience like no other. Even though there may be some unfun pregnancy symptoms and some pain during labor, it is all worth it in the end.
If you’ve just reached the 6 week mark, congratulations! At this point, being pregnant has finally kicked in, and so have the symptoms (at least for most women.) Here are some of the things you may be feeling below.
6 Weeks Pregnant Symptoms:
- You may have gained a pound at this point. Most women gain around 5-6 lbs their first trimester.
- Nausea from morning sickness is very common at this point.
- You may have some spotting in your early pregnancy. If so, you should call your healthcare provider just to make sure everything is ok.
- Tender breasts.
- Being more tired than usual.
- A missed period.
- Your areolas will start to darken.
- You will just feel pregnant.
Everyone’s pregnancy is different. You may feel all the pregnancy symptoms, or you may never even be able to tell that you’re pregnant besides the weight gain. Some women get lucky and some don’t. Just remember, if you are feeling sick, and a lot of pregnancy symptoms, just remember these don’t last forever, and that they usually subside after the first trimester is over. Also, most women claim that the second trimester is the most enjoyable, and comfortable for them.
To find out more about yourself and your baby, you should consider reading a pregnancy book. These will prepare you for the road ahead, explain the common symptoms for each week, and get you excited to see how your baby is developing and growing each and every day!
