There are a lot of changes in your baby and in yourself occurring in this lively week, so continue reading below to find out what’s happening!
Mother:
- In this week, you may need a larger sized bra with better support, since your breast will grow larger because of hormonal boost. Breast growth may continue throughout pregnancy.
- During this week, you will have hormonal changes, causing you to feel fatigue. You will also be prone to nausea and vomiting.
- You may find sleeping hard, especially when you’ll always feel you want to pee.
- At this point, you should be taking a prenatal vitamin daily. To learn the importance of prenatal vitamins, read here!
- You should start thinking about setting up an appointment with your OB/GYN if you haven’t already. Find out what will take place at your first pregnancy appointment here!
- If you are spotting, read about the reasons for bleeding during early pregnancy.
Baby:
- Your baby will have developed webbed fingers from his/her hands and feet!
- His/her eyes will still be covered with their closed eyelids.
- His/her lungs will develop, with breathing tubes extending to his throat.
- Your baby’s brain develops; nerve cells will be branching out to connect with each other, forming neural pathways.
- Sadly, your baby’s external genital isn’t still developed in this week, so you won’t be able to tell whether it’s a boy or a girl.
There are a lot of changes in this stage, so you have to keep up with the changes for you and your baby! This will be a challenging week for you, so anticipate each change and be ready.
