If you didn’t know already, car seat laws in the U.S. must be followed, or it can result in fines, traffic violations, points on your record, and of course, it can allow your child to experience a car ride that isn’t as safe as it should be.

As you can see, car seat laws are there for a reason.  They are there to help keep your little ones safe, and can keep you out of trouble with the law.  It all comes down to getting your family from point A to point B without any complications.  So, if you live in the sunny state of Arizona, and you’re currently not familiar with your state’s laws, take time now to review them.

Arizona Car Seat Laws:

• If your child is 4 years or younger, they must be restrained in a car seat.
• If you don’t follow that law, it may result in a fine of up to $50 for the first offense.

• Before you turn your baby forward-facing, you should always get the OK from your pediatrician first.
• It’s never safe to buy a used car seat.  Used car seats can be expired, recalled or could have been in an accident.
• Always make sure your child’s car seat is installed properly.  If you’re not sure that it’s installed correctly, you can always take it down to a fire station or police department to get it looked over.
