Baby Feeding Chart – 4 to 6 Months

If your baby is 4-6 months of age, here is a chart you may want to take a look at.  It can often be confusing as a parent to know how much, and what we’re able to feed our baby.  So, to make it easier, I have a chart below exactly for that!

Feeding your baby something other than formula can be pretty exciting!  Check out these great feeding books to come up more fun food ideas for your little one!

AGE WHAT SHOULD THEY BE EATING? HOW MUCH? SIGNS OF READINESS
4 Months Formula/breastmilk, and rice cereal or other grains/oats. Start your baby out with a tsp. of rice cereal. If they eat it, keep adding more until 1/4 cup of rice cereal throughout the day.

Your baby should be able to sit up with support, lift their head when on tummy, close mouth around the spoon, and move food from front to back of mouth.

You must also get the OK from your baby’s physician.

5 Months Formula/breastmilk, rice cereal and fruits and vegetables. Give your baby up to 1/4 cup each day of rice cereal, and 1/4 cup of fruits or vegetables.

Your baby should be able to sit up with support, lift their head when on tummy, close mouth around spoon, and move food from front to back of mouth.

You must also get the OK from your baby’s physician.

6 Months Formula/breastmilk, rice cereal and fruits and vegetables. Give your baby up to 1/4 cup each day of rice cereal, and 1/4 cup of fruits or vegetables or until satisfied.

Your baby should be able to sit up with support, lift their head when on tummy, close mouth around spoon, and move food from front to back of mouth.

You must also get the OK from your baby’s physician.
