Babies become so uncomfortable with it and you want to do everything just to make your home peaceful again.  There are actually remedies to lessen you baby’s pain when teething. To find out about these, read on!

Baby Teething Remedies:

Food
  • An apple might help her with her teething. Wrap it in a clean washcloth and let her taste its sweetness. She may bite or suck it once she tasted it. This will help her massage her gums, providing relief.
  • Frozen bananas might also help relieve her pain. They are also sweet and cooling, helping your baby out.
  • Other foods that are helpful to her while teething are soft foods such as soups, well-cooked pasta with some bland sauce, mashed vegetables, yogurt and sandwiches without crusts.

Atmosphere

  • A relaxing surrounding also helps your child’s low mood. Try creating a calmer atmosphere rather than having too much noise and fuss as it only makes your child more uncomfortable. Try to keep calm and don’t give away to irritation and disturbance to help your baby become calmer.

Physical Relief

  • A teething ring is one helpful thing for your teething baby. A couple of these might help. While one is used by your baby, keep the other one in the refrigerator or freezer for chilling.
  • A massage will also help. Using your clean finger (or a piece of clean washcloth on the end of your fingers), place it onto your baby’s gums and massage them to provide her relief.

Medical Remedies

  • Acetaminophen (Children’s Tylenol) is also another remedy but it should be avoided as much as possible. If there’s no other choice, you can use this to help her remove her pain.
  • Baby Orajel is better solution.  This numbs the painful areas allowing temporary relief, and can help them sleep through the night.

If you’ve noticed that your baby is suffering greatly from her teething, you should consider consulting your doctor for further medical assistance.
