Christmas is the holiday that children just love.  Between Christmas parties at school, Christmas trees being sold in the stores, and toys galore, why wouldn’t they be excited?  The holiday is a beautiful one, and one that gets children excited even months beforehand.  Although it may seem simple on what to get our children for Christmas, it’s really not.  There are so many things to choose from, so many different ideas, and the thought of getting them something other than toys is always in our head.

• I have to say, money is probably the best gift you can give them.  That may sound a little silly, but really, money is a great gift.  Putting little bits away at a time will really help them in the future when they actually need it.  It could potentially be money towards college, their first car, or something else they want down the road!
• Another great idea is to get them gift cards.  This is great because it teaches them how to spend money.  They know they only have a certain amount to spend, so do they spend it all at once, and on only one toy, or do they come back later or even spread it amongst other toys?
• Electronics are just loved by children.  Whether you get your real little one a LeapFrog, a Kindle for your child that loves to read, or you get your 10 year old a Wii, they just love technology and electronics.
• You definitely have to get your children some amount of toys.  So, what I like to do best is look at Amazon’s best-selling list.  Then, you get get the highest rated, and most popular toys amongst kids.
• If your child needs some new clothes for the school year, now would be the time to get them! 
• Lastly, If your child has always wanted to visit a certain place like Disney Land, or perhaps Sea World, now would be the time to go!  If you live in the colder states, I’m sure your whole family would enjoy a nice trip together some place warm, and some place fun for the kids!
