Once we have a baby, I think it’s only natural that it sort of turns us into a germ freak. I was always conscious about germs, but now that I have children, I’ve been a lot more conscious. I always make sure I wash my hands, avoid touching my eyes, nose, mouth, and make other adjustments throughout the day.
If you’re a mother of a young one, I’m sure you’re already familiar with how babies always put things in their mouth. Since they are so into exploring things with their mouth, I always make it a habit to keep anything like teethers, pacifiers and bottles very sterile.
If you’re looking for ways to keep your little one’s bottles extra clean, here are a few things I recommend for you!
Dishwasher: If your items are dishwasher safe, I don’t think anything can beat cleaning them like your dishwasher. It has different cycles it goes through just to rinse, wash, and sterilize items.
Freezer: Since not a lot bacteria can live in extreme environments, I like to put my little one’s items like baby bottles and even toys in the freezer from time to time. I actually saw this on an episode of The Doctors. This is highly recommended and does a great job at killing germs!
Sterilizer: There are a lot of great sterilizers out there! There are sterilizers for your baby bottle and your baby’s pacifiers. Simply put it in, turn it on and take it out bacteria free. Check them out! They are great for around the house.
There are a few different ways you can really kill germs on your baby’s bottles. I personally don’t like to hand wash them just because they say your sink can hold more bacteria than your toilet seat. So really, washing them in the sink doesn’t sound like the best idea to me. Instead, I consider the ideas above!

Idk about you, but I’m definitely a germ freak. I only use the dishwasher and will sometimes even use the bottler sterilizer just to make sure they’re clean!
I want to get one of those sterilizers, my friend has one and loves it. But then again.. I need a lot of things LOL!
