When we’re a parent for the first time around, things can be a little tricky. We’re new to this, we’re not sure why our babies are crying, and not sure how to do the baby basics. It all takes time, and we can only learn from our babies themselves. Some of the most common questions about babies are about their schedules. If you’re having questions, continue reading below to find out common questions, along with their answers!
Do I need to put my baby on a schedule?
Yes. All parents should put their baby on a schedule. Once you do this, and it starts to take effect, both of your lives will be much easier! They can get into the routine of sleeping during the night, and eating and playing during the day.
When do I put them on a schedule?
You should try and put them on a schedule as quickly as you can. Although, the first 2 months or so may seem like it’s impossible. After they’re about two months old, things will get much easier, and they will start having a schedule like yours but with more sleeping of course.
How do I put them on a schedule?
In the beginning, it is important for them to have their own schedule. This means we must take care of them when they’re crying in the middle of the night because they’re hungry, and when they’re sleepy during the day. After about the first two months, you can start shifting their schedule to a more normal and tolerable one.
You can do this by allowing them to see the difference between night and day. This means be more active during the day, feed them, play with them, etc. While when it starts to get dark and night time comes, we need to be more quiet, dim the lights, and be sure we relax with them. After a few weeks, they will start to learn the difference between the two, and will know that certain things are for certain times.
Putting your little one on a certain schedule is a very important thing to do. Although babies change, and grow over time, it is still important to keep up with those changes, and to allow them to have a healthy and organized daily schedule.
