There comes that time when we’re in a hurry, the baby is crying, they’re hungry, and we don’t have a lot of time to make them a snack. Although, fortunately there are several quick and easy snacks that we can make even when in a hurry. These take just a few minutes (or less), and will make your baby happy once again, and will allow you to get on with what you’re trying to do!
Gerber Puffs – Gerber puffs are an excellent choice. You can get them at most grocery stores, they’re inexpensive, and they do the trick. The come in a nice container that you can take on the go, and they’re made just for babies.
Blueberries – We all love blueberries. These are a very healthy snack, and their sweet taste will make your baby much happier instead of fussy. Although, be sure to put a bib on them, and to keep an eye on them (they may stain!)
Banana – This is another healthy choice that most babies love! These are easy to peel, and you can simply cut them into tiny pieces, and you don’t have to worry about your baby really “chewing”on them since they’re so soft.
Cheese – Cut tiny pieces of cheese up, and store them in a bag. This can be a “to go” bag, and will allow your baby to have a healthy snack. Cheese is easy to eat (if cut small), is healthy, and is a great on the go snack.
Cereal – Small, dry cereal is another great baby snack. Cheerioes, Rice Krispies, etc are all great choices. They’re tiny, can be sucked on and not chewed. Not to mention, most cereals have a lot of the important daily vitamins that your baby needs!
We hate when we’re in a rush, but it definitely happens more than planned. It is always a good idea to have a couple of these snacks prepared ahead of time. It will be much easier to take with you, and the dirty work will already be done!
