Baby Feeding Supplies List

Once we get close to our due date we want everything prepared ahead of time.  We’re not sure when exactly our little one will come home so to have everything there just in case is a good idea.  Not to mention, one of the most important things you need covered is feeding supplies.  Your little one has to eat and you should be prepared for that time when they do come home.  As a new parent it’s hard to know what exactly we need, so to make things easier below is a list of all the feeding supplies you’ll need for your baby!

Bottles with nipples:  You of course need bottles.  I would make sure they are BPA free and highly rated bottles.  You want them to last you a while and keep up with the continuous use.  (Dr. Brown has some of the best reviews.)

FormulaIf you’re not planning on breastfeeding formula will be your best friend for a while.  It has everything your little one needs to grow strong.  Just make sure you get a kind that is intended for your baby.

Bottle brushTo clean your bottles properly you need a bottle brush.  This will wipe those sides that are impossible to wipe with your hands and give it a good clean.

Burp clothsYour little one won’t be able to swallow every bit, so to make sure they don’t ruin those new clothes you’ve just bought them you should get burp cloths to catch all the remaining fluid!

Add these if you’re breastfeeding:

Breast pumpYou need something to get the milk out and one way of doing that is by using a breast pump.  Earlier we did a post on the best breast pumps if you’re interested in finding out which are the best-selling and well liked by moms.

Nursing pillowNursing pillows make breastfeeding much easier.  They prop up your little one, let a load off your arm and help you and your baby both sit comfortably!

Nursing brasYour breasts will continue to grow as you develop through your pregnancy and after.  A nursing bra is highly recommended and is something you should definitely consider!  It will make you much more comfortable!

Nursing pads for brasSince we tend to get those inconvenient and embarressing leaks sometimes, these pads will help stop that!  Simply insert these into your bra and avoid leaking through your shirt.

As you can see, there are quite a few feeding supplies you will need for your baby.  Be sure to get all the supplies you need ahead of time since sometimes our little bundle of joy wants out early!
