First Month Pregnancy Symptoms

Do you suspect that you may be pregnant?  If so, congratulations!  Having a baby is a life changing experience that you will never regret.  Although you may have heard all sorts of things about being pregnant, it really isn’t that bad.  In fact, it’s kind of fun, and is a very cool thing to witness.  Between feeling your baby move for the first time, seeing your baby on an ultrasound, and hearing their heart beat, there are so many fun things to look forward to!

If you are pregnant, it is common to experience these first month pregnancy symptoms:

  • You will first miss your period.
  • Next, you will more than likely see a positive pregnancy test.
  • Being more tired than usual is very common.
  • Your breasts may be tender and soar.
  • Just “feeling” like your pregnant is a sign.
  • You may feel a little more bloated than usual.
  • Your sense of smell can also be very sensitive.  If warm foods like potatoes, steamed vegetables or other weird foods make you queasy, it could be another sign.
  • Nausea, although one of the most difficult symptoms is very common.  This is also referred to as “morning sickness”, although it doesn’t have to be in the morning, it could be during the day or even at night that you experience this.

There are several different symptoms women face while they’re pregnant.  No two pregnancies are the same.  Some women experience all the symptoms, while others don’t experience anything other than the weight gain from the baby.

I find it very helpful, and neat to read about a pregnancy while I’m going through it.  There are several great books that Amazon offers!  Or, to make it even easier, I’ve created a post on the top 5 pregnancy books.  These books can tell you what’s ahead, what’s going on now, and how your baby should be developing.  Consider one of these to learn more about your baby to come!
