What is the First Sign of Pregnancy?

Tired? Feeling nauseated? Swollen breasts? These may be signs that you’re pregnant. Soon after conception, you may begin to figure out whether you’re pregnant or not, especially if you’re very aware of your body’s behavior. Below are the first signs of pregnancy. You may experience them all or just a few of them, or maybe, none at all.

The First Signs of Pregnancy:

  • Are you craving foods lately? Though craving certain foods may not really mean that you’re pregnant, it can be a sign of pregnancy. If this is combined with some other symptoms stated here, there’s a chance that you might be pregnant!
  • If you noticed that your areolas (the skin around your nipples) are getting darker, then you may have conceived successfully, though this may also be caused by a hormonal imbalance not related to pregnancy.
  • Cramping, accompanied by implantation spotting may also mean that you’re pregnant. This is due to the burrowing of egg into the endometrial lining.
  • You may also be frequently going to the bathroom if you’re pregnant. This is all due to the produced hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) when the embryo is already implanted.
  • If you’re feeling tired lately with just doing your usual day-to-day activities, then you may be pregnant, thanks to your high levels of hormone progesterone.
  • If you’re breasts has become relatively tender and swollen at the same time, this is another common symptoms
  • If lately you’ve become disgusted by the food you usually like or can’t even stand the taste of coffee, and if you’ve noticed an altered sense of taste, then there’s a possibility that you’re pregnant.
  • Some women won’t experience morning sickness up until a few weeks, but there are some who, as early as a couple of days, begin feeling nauseated and sick.
  • After a few weeks of being unsure about whether you’re pregnant or not, if you’ve missed your period especially if you’re having it regularly, then that is a good indicator.

Though you may be experiencing these symptoms, it is still not a guarantee that you are pregnant. If you want to know if you’re really pregnant, then you should take a pregnancy test at home or go to the doctor for further analysis. But still, there is a good chance that you might not be experiencing these symptoms even though you’ve conceived successfully.
