Although it’s rare that the house is cleaned, your work is caught up and you’re bored sitting at home with your baby, the time does come.  When it does, prepare and make sure you spend the day having fun with your little one.  Entertaining your child is fun to do and sometimes we need a little help or some suggestions on what to do when we’re bored.  Continue reading below to find out how you can turn a boring day with your little one into a fun day!

Park:  Going to the park on a nice afternoon is always fun.  Get some fresh air, get your little one out of the house and have some fun.  Push them in the stroller, on the swing, have them go down the slide, or have a picnic.  Just be sure to take some pictures of your little one in action!

Walk:  Whether you walk around your subdivision, around town or at the park it is good for the two of you to get out, get some exercise and enjoy the day.  This is cost-free and a great way to bond.

Mall:  If your baby is like most they love to watch things.  They can people watch all day, and are just amazed at everything going by.  Take them to the mall to play in the play place and to people watch for the day.

Friends and family:  If it’s not too nice of weather take them to your friends house of families house.  I’m sure they love to visit with them and spend the day together.  Friends and family are always a good time.

Movie:  Try putting in a movie for your baby.  They may watch it, laugh and get a kick out of a good cartoon or they may not.  It all depends on your child.  It’s always worth a try and is a lot of fun when they enjoy it.

Read a book:  Reading a book to them is also fun.  They love the pictures, the patterns, colors and everything on the page.  Check out the top baby books!

Video tape:  It is always fun to get out the video camera and get some film on your little one.  You can show your friends and family, have fun while taping and show them years down the road how cute they were.

Sometimes we get those boring days, but it’s important to make the best out of them.  They’re only little and that age for so long so take advantage of all the fun things you can do!
