Congratulations, you’re pregnant! Whether you just found out from an at home test or you actually went to see an OB/GYN this time is very exciting for you! You most likely want to spill the beans and tell everyone that you know, but it’s a good idea to keep it on the downlow for at least the first 12 weeks. If any complications happen during your pregnancy they will most likely happen within that time frame. So, to be on the safe side wait until that 13th week and then the fun news can explode.
So, you may be wondering how to tell everyone! Here are some fun ideas to spread the news:
- Clothing: First of all, what I did was I got a onesie and on it I wrote “I love my grandparents”. Once my parents opened up the gift box they new right away and were just thrilled. This is a great way to hold onto the memory, and a nice way of telling them.
- Pets: If you have any pets you can put a little note on their collar. Have them walk by your parents or friends and write a note along the lines of “I’m going to have a little brother or sister or my mom is pregnant.” Pets a great way to spread the word.
- Cake: Have your friends and family over for dinner. Then, for dessert have a cake that announces the great news. Not to mention, if you know the sex of the baby already have the cake color be pink or blue. This way you can cut into it and they will already know.
- Fortune Cookie: A really cool idea is to have a fortune cookie ready for everyone. Have them made specially and request that they say “You will be grandparents soon than you think”, or “A baby is in the near future for (whoever.)”
