It seems like these past two months there have been more recalls than usual. Between the Similac baby formula being recalled due to bug parts, and the Evenflo Maestro booster seat being recalled because it can crack during a collision, and now this Graco stroller recall, it makes us worry about all the products we’re buying for our children.
Recalls are important to look out for simply because they can prevent an accident from ever happening in the first place. Whether it’s related to car safety, toys being easy to swallow, or formula having dangerous parts in it, it is important to stay informed, and up to date with all the recalls that are happening.
If you have a Graco stroller listen up! There has recently been a recall on 2 million strollers. This recall affects the Graco Quattro Tou, and MetroLite Stroller, along with the travel systems that were produced before 2007.
The reason these seats have been recalled is because four children have died in them. It was reported that they fell through the gap between the food tray and the seat. Yes, you should always have an eye on your children so that you’re aware of these things happening, but it’s also important to have safely made products!
The recalled products were distributed by the Graco Children’s Product of Atlanta. So, if you feel that your stroller may be affected by this recall, make sure you do your research! It is said that the model numbers for the affected strollers include: 8755, 8324, 4600, 8740, 8994, 8676 and 8910.
For more information on this recall, you can visit Graco’s website, and search their safety section, or you can also find more information at the CPSC.
We want our children to remain safe, and have safe products, so always keep your ears and eyes open for potential hazards with baby products!
