When we know that we’re pregnant, there is nothing more exciting than creating the nursery.  Having a baby is one of the most exciting things in life, and is something we definitely have to prepare for.  Creating a nursery is a lot of fun, yet a lot of work at the same time.  Find out how you can transform a boring room, into a cute baby room/nursery.

Clean up - First of all, clean everything out of the room, and allow it to be empty.  Clean up the walls, any holes that need to be filled, and clean up anything that needs some work.  (This is the hardest part for most parents.)

Flooring - Now, are you going to keep the flooring?  Sometimes we buy a new house, and there are a few rooms that need some adjusting.  If you’re planning on getting new flooring, be sure to do it before we settle in.

Paint – Ah, so at this point we should have a clean, empty room.  Now the fun begins!  Pick out some colors you want to paint the room, get your supplies, and start painting away.

TIP:  It is a good idea to just stick with paint.  Before we know it, our child will be grown up, and we will be re-doing the room.  This avoids any messy borders, wallpaper, etc.  Paint is very easy, looks very nice when it’s done, and is cheaper.  Not to mention, it saves a huge mess of cleaning down the road.

Decorations – Once we have everything we need in the baby room, we can start decorating.  Get some flowers, maybe some pictures, and some fun baby toys to put around the room.
