How to Distinguish a Safe Baby Toy From a Bad One

When we have a baby we love to get everything ready, and pamper them.  There are several great toys on the market, and therefore a lot of them will be purchased by us.  It is great to see our little ones entertained, and we can do that best by getting them some of the best toys on the market.  Although, are those toys some of the safest or most dangerous?  Find out how you can distinguish a good toy from a bad one.

Little pieces – First of all, you will never want to buy a baby toy that has little pieces.  Back in the day, things like Polly Pockets were a huge hit, but if a baby got a hold of those today, they may be chewed, swallowed, etc.  Toys that have little pieces are definitely a bad choice.

Chemicals – You also want to look out for dangerous things like lead, paint, and any harmful layers on the toys.  If your baby puts these bad chemicals in their mouth, you may find them getting sick.  So, always look out for dangerous coatings.

Chewable – Also, you want to avoid things that are chewable.  Our little ones are famous for putting things in their mouth, so almost every toy we get them will end up in their mouth at some point.  Therefore, you don’t want to get any foam/sponge like, or chewable item that they could eat.

Rough – We also want to look out for toys that are rough, or have sharp edges.  We don’t want them to fall on them, or rub against them and cut/hurt themselves.  Babies don’t know better, so you need to make sure you’ll looking out for them.

There are several toys on the market that have been recalled for issues like this.  We want to be able to leave our child playing with a toy without having to worry about them.  So, the next time you go toy shopping, make sure you’re looking out for your little one, and these possible dangerous toys!
