Before our child is even born we want to make sure they have the safest and best products on the market. Therefore, researching their items before we buy them, getting reviews, and watching out for recalls is important to do. Recalls can be pretty dangerous if we never find them out. Items can be recalled for several different reasons, from anything as simple as screwing up the logo to a dangerous chemical that was put into the product to make it.
It’s always a good idea to make sure our child’s car seat is safely on the market. Therefore, if you’re questioning whether it is or not, you should find out if it has been recalled. How can you do that? Continue reading below!
Call manufacturer – First of all, if you suspect that your car seat has been recalled, you will want to call the manufacturer. You can find this number on the Internet. Simply type “phone number for (name of manufacturer.)”
Internet – Also, if you check on the Internet and look on the manufacturer’s website, I’m sure you’ll be able to find it written on the website that there was a recall. Or simply type “recalls for (manufacturer’s) car seats.) You will be sure to find a list of the product you’re looking for if it has been recalled.
Stores – If the car seat is in stores, it’s most likely that it hasn’t been recalled. There is a possibility they haven’t found out yet, but if it’s been there for quite some time it’s pretty positive that it’s safe to use.
TIP: You should never buy a used car seat. You don’t know the previous history, how long it’s been used, the expiration date, or if the car seat has ever been in any accidents! The police station always recommends you buy new!
Finding out whether or not your car seat has been recalled is pretty easy. Consider a few of the tips above, and you’ll be able to find out in just a few minutes!
