When it comes to our litle one’s safety we will do pretty much anything.  When riding in the car, there safety is a huge concern therefore they need a car seat that is made for them, and one that is safe.  If you’re buying a car seat for the first time, you will find there is a lot to learn and figure out.  With several different ones to choose from, you need to realize what’s most important.

Type: First of all, it is important you get them the right type of car seat.  Are you looking for an infant seat, convertible or a booster?  Their weight, height and age determines why “type” of car seat they should be getting.

Reviews: The Internet is a great source for several things, one of them being reviews.  You can find reviews on everything from refridgerators to car seats.  So, take advantage of this great information!  What are the owners saying about the item?  Would they recommend it, and what do they like vs. not like about the car seats?

Features: What features are you looking for in a car seat?  Does it have to have everything from a sunshield to cupholders to a stoller combination?  Figure out what is most important to you in a car seat, and what your child will really need.  Otherwise you will find you wasted money a car seat due to accessories you won’t really use.

Installation: The installation of the car seat should be pretty easy.  I recommend you get one with a LATCH system, and that the reviews say it is on the easier side to install.  They say 3/4 car seats are installed improperly in some way.  If you feel like it will be to hard to put together, consider an easier one.
