How to Help Cure Morning Sickness or Nausea During Pregnancy

When we’re pregnant we usually don’t have symptoms right away and we think we’re lucky.  Although, once you wait a few weeks into the process, we realize that we’re not so lucky.  The nausea starts to take affect, we are sensitive to smell, want to avoid some of our favorite foods.  This time is not fun, and the throwing up really sets us over!  If you feel tired, have no energy what so ever, and have the nausea feeling eating at you, consider a few of these tips.

We often worry because we don’t want to start taking medicine or do things that will harm the baby.  Yet, no one likes to be miserable, so to help cure the morning sickness or just plain nausea, try a few of these helpful tips to get you through the day better!

How to Help Cure Morning Sickness or Nausea:

  • Avoid foods that trigger nausea, or foods that you’re sensitive with for smell.
  • Eat colder foods because there is less of a smell which can help not trigger that sensitive smell.
  • Eat 6 small meals per day.
  • Try to eat well balanced diet – getting all the foods in the food pyramid.
  • Make sure you hydrate yourself throughout the whole day.  Water is the best thing for you.
  • Take prenatal vitamins to make sure you’re getting the recommended amount of vitamins in your diet.
  • Try drinking ginger ale like Vernors.
  • Avoid foods that are high in fat.
  • Try to rest and get plenty of sleep each night and day.  The more rested and comfortable you are, the better you’ll feel.

It will take time to reduce the morning sickness or nausea but sooner or later you’ll be relieved from it.  Just take it easy, consider a few of these tips, and make sure you get plenty of rest.  Although, if you feel like you’re sicker than the average woman, be sure to consult your doctor!
