How to Make Homemade Baby Food

Once our little one breaks the habit of needing their bottle all day long, we can finally start to give them real baby food!  This is very exciting because we want to see how they’ll react, how they’ll like it, and we can actually make it for them.  This is a big step in both your lives, and should be something to look forward to.

I think it is a great idea to make some of your own baby food.  There is so much great produce out there that if you have some and have a little left over that you can store it and save it for them.  Instead of letting it go to waste, how about you feed it to your baby instead?  If you’re interested in making your own baby food, let us tell you how to do it!

How to Make Homemade Baby Food:

  1. First of all, you will want to talk to their pediatrician and get some recommended foods they can eat for their age.  Also, ask how much you can give them.
  2. Then you will want to buy the fresh produce.
  3. Make sure it is cleaned very well.  Sometimes it’s best to peel the peel if it has one.
  4. Now, you will want to get a food processor.
  5. Chop it all up so that it is creamy and there aren’t any chunks for them to choke on.
  6. Sample a little bite to make sure it takes okay.
  7. Then feed away!  Just be sure to give them the recommended amount for their weight and age.

As you can see, making baby food is extremely easy!  It doesn’t take very long, has several benefits, is cheaper, and allows your little one to get the fresh taste with even more vitamins than the jars.  If you’re thinking about making your own homemade baby food, be sure to follow these simple instructions!
