Having a baby is one of the most difficult tasks, yet the most fulfilling, a couple has to face. Not only that it will take up a lot of energy, it also gives you little amount of time to sleep too. That’s why having a schedule for you and your baby to develop is an important thing. Having one should help you know when to sleep, when to rise, when to feed your baby, when to play with her, etc. If you’re not sure on how to start, the sample schedule below should help you in getting one.
5:00 a.m: This is usually the time when your baby wakes up. She’ll wake up hungry, so give her enough milk, about 4 to 6 ounces, to satisfy her hunger. After consuming all the milk, she’ll go back to sleep again.
7:30-8:30 a.m: After a few hours, she’ll wake up again, hungry. Another bottle of milk is necessary to fill her need. Babies still need a lot of sleep, so after feeding her, put her back to sleep again.
10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m: This should be time when your baby will be up again, and now, for a couple of hours. She’ll be active now and would love to play. Babies simply love it to be rocked, so why not rock her? Make sure that she gets a lot of attention from you so that she may not feel left out.
12 p.m: While you eat your lunch, give her a bottle. This should help her go on throughout the day especially since she’s been awake for a few hours already. Right after consuming her milk, she’ll be back to sleep.
12:00 p.m.-3:00p.m: She’ll be sleeping during this hour to catch up with her sleep, especially since babies need it for their growth.
3:00 p.m: After a few hours of sleep, she’ll be up again, wanting to play.
5:30-7:00: Dinner time with the whole family. While everyone of you eat your meal, your baby also gets her bottle.
7:00 p.m: She more than likely will be sleepy by now, but to make her feel more relaxed, try giving her a bath, though it shouldn’t be done every day.
8:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m: While you do you thing around the house, keep her inside the crib, or rock her to help her go to sleep. This should also be your time to rest too.
2:30 a.m: As early as 2:30 am, your baby will wake up, thirsty again, but will be back to sleep soon after.
As you can observe, babies sleep and eat a lot since this will help them with their continuous growth. You may want to keep this schedule, but should not be necessary to follow the specific times stated above. After all, babies are unique, but still having similar needs.
