  • Your child must remain in a car seat until the age of 4 years and a weight of at least 40 lbs.
  • As for booster seats, they must stay in one until at least 8 years old, 40 lbs and a height of 57″.
  • As always, wearing a seat belt is recommended, but it is not required by law after the age of 15.  Meaning, adult safety belts are permissible for the ages of 8-14 years old.

NOTES:

  • A seat belt should always be worn if you’d like to enhance the safety of your everyday driving.
  • It is always a good idea to keep your baby rear-facing until the age of at least 1 year old AND 20 lbs.  This will allow their neck time to strengthen.
