So, if you’d like to find out about the future developments that will take place in both you and your baby, consider these great pregnancy books!
Once you’re pregnant you will be considered to be in the first trimester stage. What happens during this stage? Continue reading below to find out!
Learn About The First Trimester
- When you start your first trimester your baby will transform from a blastocyst to a tiny little ball of cells that are implanted in the wall of your uterus.
- Once the little ball of cells is implanted, over time it will turn into a fetus that will look more like an actual baby.
- Your baby will grow more and more over time, and your body grows a placenta to filter oxygen and nutrients to your baby.
- Once your placenta forms, the glands and ducts in your breasts will develop to provide milk for your baby after birth.
- Your baby also develops their genitals during the first trimester. Though it’s still too early to see their gender during an ultrasound, their gender has now taken form, and will continue to develop throughout your pregnancy.
- Your baby’s face now has a human profile, and their body is starting to resemble that of a miniature human instead of just tiny cells.
- Lastly, your baby may be near 2 1/2 inches long and weigh 1/2 an ounce.
- The first trimester is probably the most tiresome and overwhelming of the three. These first 13 weeks we’re still in shock that we’re adding a new addition, we’re tired because our body is in overdrive, and we may also be experiencing some morning sickness yet.
There is a lot that is taking place during every moment of your pregnancy. Your baby starts out as just a tiny blastocyst, and eventually over time grows into a human baby. Every moment of your pregnancy is exciting, and a tiny bit stressful.
Last Couple Tips to Consider
We want to make sure that everything goes perfectly, and our baby grows to be strong and healthy inside us. To make sure that happens, we want to make sure we’re eating a full, and nutritious diet every day. It is important for your baby to get all the nutrients it needs from their mother, you. Make sure you take your prenatal vitamins, and you have an OB/GYN monitor you and your baby! Have fun, and good luck during your first trimester! Things only get more exciting from here on out.
