Safe Items Your Baby Can Borrow

Once we find out that we’re pregnant, we realize just how expensive they can be.  Everything from cribs, to clothing, to their toys can leave us a little short handed when it comes to our wallet.  Although, a great thing to consider is borrowing items.  If you have a friend of family member that has just recently had kids or their children are your child’s age, see what you can borrow from them.

Instead of paying two times around, consider just giving them a few bucks for letting you borrow them instead of having to buy them.  Although borrowing is a great thing, there are only a few items you should borrow and some you shouldn’t at all.

Safe Items Your Baby Can Borrow:

  • Baby clothing
  • Baby toys
  • Blankets
  • Burp cloths
  • Strollers
  • Baby carriers

NOTE:  You will want to make sure that before you borrow any of these items, you make sure they haven’t been recalled (especially if they’re older.)  Be sure to wash them all down, kill any bacteria, and make sure they’re clean enough for your little one to use.

If you don’t know of anyone that has children but you’d like to buy these items used, be sure to consider Amazon!  Amazon has great prices on new and used items, you’d be surprised as to what you can’t find on their website!

Before you borrow any baby items, question yourself if it’s been recalled, if it’s to worn, too dirty, or if it may be a more dangerous item to borrow.  Certain things like car seats are not to be borrowed or used as a “used” product.  It’s always better to be safe than sorry and to go new when you have to!
