Sample Baby Schedule for a 7-8 Week Old Baby

Our precious baby is still very dependent on us, and it is important that we are able to meet their every need. This may be hard though, since babies sometimes are very tiring to take care of. With this, it would be very helpful to us to establish a schedule so that we will know when to get up and when to feed them. They need a lot of sleeping and eating so it is important that you will be able to determine when to do these things. In need of a schedule?  Then why not consider the one below as an example?

Sample Baby Schedule for a 7-8 Week Old Baby:

5 AM Your baby should be awake by now, feeling hungry. Start her day by giving her 4 to 6 ounces of milk to help her through the morning. After drinking, she’ll be back to sleep in no time.

7-8 AM After a few hours of sleep, she will once again wake up hungry. So, to cure her hunger, give her another bottle of formula or feeding. This should get her back to sleep again.

10-11 AM After another couple hours of sleep, she’ll wake up again, active. She’ll want to play for a couple of hours so you will want to rock her, hold her, and feed her. Give her lots of attention so that she will not feel abandoned.

Try giving her some tummy time.  A lot of babies don’t like this, and just become frustrated, but it’s important that you allow her time to strengthen her neck mucles, while improving her head support.  Boppy Pillows are great for that!  Also, consider a play mat.  These are loved by babies at this age!

12 PM After a few hours of playing, she’ll become hungry again.  Satisfy her tummy by giving her a bottle.  Now, rock her to sleep and put her down for a nap.

12-3 PM Since she is still very young, she still needs a lot of sleep to help her grow and develop. So make sure to let her sleep in a peaceful room. Avoid too much noise that may disturb her rest.

3 PM After a nap, she’ll be awake again and wanting to play.

6-7 PM While you eat your dinner with the rest of the family, give her a bottle of milk to cure her hunger.

7 PM After consuming all her milk, she will become relaxed, and ready to sleep again. To help her become even more relaxed, give her a nice warm bath, but this shouldn’t be necessary every day.

8-11 PM After bathing her, lay her down in the crib while you wait until she sleeps. This should be the time you take a rest also.

2 AM Your little one should be up by now and ready to eat again.

Following a schedule like the one above should really help you out.  It is pretty basic, and your baby may differ just a tiny bit, but it’s usually the same type of routine that they’re on.  Though, it shouldn’t be necessary that you follow every single thing stated above, as long as you are able to meet your baby’s needs, you are good to go!
