Meeting your baby’s every need is probably the most difficult thing to accomplish when having a baby. You have to be very aware of your child’s every move. Even if it takes you to be awake most of the time, you always have to make sure that your baby is always in a good condition. That is why starting a good schedule for you and your baby to develop is really a big help. If you’re thinking about starting one, try considering the one below!
6 AM Babies wake up very early to eat. Try giving her about 4 to 6 ounces of milk to satisfy her hunger. After this, she should go back to sleep for a few hours.
8-9 AM After a couple of hours of sleeping, she’ll wake up once more, crying for another feeding. But after, she’ll become sleepy again.
10-11:30 AM She’ll be awake once more, this time active. Try to spend a lot of time with her. Play with her, rock her, feed her, and do things with her that will enable her to explore more about the world. She should be able to realize that daytime is for eating, playing and exploring, while nighttime is for sleeping and resting.
This is also a good time to encourage her to roll over. Consider getting a play mat so that she can explore new things, colors, and sounds! Not to mention, using a Boppy Pillow is a great way for her to strengthen her neck muscles, as well as improve her head support.
11:30-12 AM This is a great time for feeding your little one. Give her a bottle after a very busy time playing. After this, she’ll be back to sleep again.
1-3 PM During this time, she’ll spend her time catching up on her much needed sleep.
3 PM After a few hours of sleep, she’ll wake up once more feeling active again. Play with her as much as you can, and encourage her to do new things.
If it’s nice outside, consider talking your baby for a walk in a baby carrier, or try getting out the stroller for a nice stroll around your yard.
6-7 PM This is a good time to eat with the rest of the family. While you eat your dinner, give your baby her bottle of formula or a feeding also.
7 PM After eating your dinner, your baby will be ready to sleep again, so to relax her even more, try giving her a warm bath.
9-11 PM At these hours, cradle your baby to sleep. Rock her, hum to her, and just enjoy your last few minutes of the day together. After she has gone to sleep, it will be your time to rest too.
3 AM At this hour, your baby is awake once more, ready to eat again.
If you’re thinking of developing a schedule yourself, it shouldn’t be necessary to be exactly the same as this one. Most schedules are relatively close to each other since babies have pretty much the same needs. If you haven’t started on a good schedule yet, why not try this one?
