When we reach the third trimester in our pregnancy, we want to make sure we get prepared and have all the supplies our little one will need. One of those supplies you can’t go without is a car seat. Whether you get an infant seat or a convertible, it’s up to you. Just remember that the safety of your child is always first.
If you do decide to go with an infant car seat be sure to consider these best-selling! Infant seats are much easier to carry around and are a lot easier to get used to. Here are some of the most popular seats on the market:
- Britax Companion - Like all Britax car seats, this is a very popular one! It comes with an adjustable fabric canopy, has a smooth adjustable carrying handle with soft grip, a tangle-free, polyester 5-point harness with three heights, a vehicle belt, and a patented anti-rebound bar. Plus it comes with an expandable head pad with true side impact protection, has EPS protective foam, comfort pads and a belly pad.
- Graco Snugride - This is my favorite personally. It has an adjustable base, a 5-point harness with front adjustments, EPS engery absorbing foam, a 180 degree rotating canopy and an easy level indicator to help ensure correct installation.
- Graco Safeseat - The Safeseat was engineered and crash tested to meet or exceed U.S. standards. It also fits 97% of one-year olds to keep your child rear-facing for one full year, has an easy to read level indicator to help with installation, it has EPS energy absorbing foam and holds babies up to 30 pounds and 32″ tall.
- Evenflo Discovery 5 - This car seat isn’t only great for it’s features, it’s great for it’s affordable price! It has been side impact tested, has an ergonomic carry right z handle, a 5 point harness, an energy absorbing foam liner and is made to be rear facing only, for babies 5-22 pounds.
There are several great infant car seats on the market, but if you’re looking for the best be sure to consider one of these four! They’ve all got excellent ratings, reviews and are highly recommended by parents who own them.
