The Very Early Signs of Pregnancy

Most women mistakenly think that the early signs of pregnancy they are experiencing might just be caused by something else. These symptoms are actually pretty common and may not really be due to pregnancy at all, but if you’ve experienced at least three of the following signs, then you have a good chance that you may be pregnant!  So what are these very early signs of pregnancy?

The Very Early Signs of Pregnancy:

  • A missed period is one of the very early signs of pregnancy, but this may not be very reliable since active women usually have delayed periods, and others don’t even bother keeping track with their periods.
  • Implantation bleeding may also be experienced after a week or so of becoming pregnant. But this is also similar to a very light menstrual period, making it difficult to identify if your period has been skipped.
  • If you’ve noticed your breasts becoming tender and swollen, then you may be pregnant. This is one of the very early signs of being pregnant, though not too reliable since it may be similar to the tenderness experienced before the beginning of each period. If this is accompanied by the darkening of areolas (skin around the nipples), then that increases your chances.
  • Another early sign of pregnancy is nausea, or morning sickness. This is common for the first three months of pregnancy, but still, there’s also the possibility that it is caused by something else.
  • It is often interpreted that craving for odd foods is a sign of pregnancy, but this might also be a sign of nutrient deficiency.
  • Another early sign of pregnancy is repeated urination. If you’ve been going in and out from the bathroom more frequently, then you might be pregnant. But there’s also a chance that this is a sign of a urinary tract infection, so it is not justifiable to rely on this symptom alone.

If you’re experiencing at least three of these early signs, then there is a good chance that you’re pregnant. But still, it is best that you take a pregnancy test or go to the doctor to make sure of your pregnancy.  If you have positive results, it is best that you get tips for a healthy pregnancy from your OB/GYN and that you consider reading a pregnancy book to gain more knowledge on this matter.
