Once we find out were pregnant, all we can think about is planning for it to arrive.  We’re thinking of baby names, decorating the nursery, preparing ourselves mentally and physically and are getting some of the most important baby supplies.  Buying baby supplies isn’t always easy if you’ve never done it before.  This is especially true when it comes to car seats.

There are several different car seats out there, different kinds, different brands, and different features included.  So, if you’re looking for tips on how to choose your first baby car seat, consider a few of the tips below!

Safety – Safety is what matters first.  Keep in mind that there aren’t any “best car seats or safest car seats” on the market.  They are all safe, get the job done, and have the features needed to keep your little one safe.

Features – You want to check out all the features there are.  There are some with removable and washable cloth, cup holders, body pillows, snack trays, etc.  See what is convenient to you and your baby and what you want most.

Price – Keep in mind that just because there is the “most expensive car seat” doesn’t mean it’s the best.  Different brands range for different prices.  The price is something that you want to be affordable, yet is known to be a good seat.

Reviews – Car seat reviews are what I find most important.  No one can tell you how good it is or how bad it is until they’ve bought it and used it on their child.  You can find a whole list of car seat reviews on our website!  These will point out the flaws, give you ratings, and tell you want the main features are.

Requirements – You also want to make sure your baby or child meets the requirements for the car seat.  Make sure their height, age and weight is ok for the car seat.  If it’s not the proper requirement, it can be more dangerous than safe.
