What are Common Signs of Being Pregnant?

Has it been awhile since your last period? Are you feeling different than usual, and wonder if you may be pregnant?  If so, this may be an overwhelming yet exciting time in your life!  It takes some time to find out if you’re pregnant since you need to let the hcg levels in your body determine it.  The only way you can really find out is through a blood test or through a pregnancy test.  If it’s still too early to tell, here are some common signs of being pregnant.

Common Signs:

  • First of all, your period will be later than usual.  And, of course if you are pregnant it won’t return until after you deliever the baby, (this isn’t always a bad thing!)
  • You may have less energy, and feel tired throughout the days.
  • Nausea can be very common as well.  Although not all pregnant women experience this symptom, it is common.
  • Your breasts may feel tender and painful.
  • I found that I was very sensitive to certain smells, and some would just make me feel ill right on the spot.
  • And lastly, you may feel cramping in your stomach similar to your menstrual cramps.  This is your uterus working.

There are quite a few different pregnancy symptoms you can experience.  Although, some women don’t experience one sign besides weight gain, while others experience every single symptom.  Remember, no two pregnancies are the same.  Everyone women will tell you something different, and have a different story to tell you.  What matters most, and what is a for sure sign is a positive pregnancy test either through blood or urine.  Until then, don’t worry too much about it!  You don’t want to get too excited if you aren’t, and you don’t want to worry to much either.  Just wait it out, and take good care of your body in the mean time just in case!
