If this is your first time getting pregnant, we often want to know what is happening at every moment, and what to expect. We all hear different things, so to set things straight, these are things you’ll really go through during your pregnancy. These things happen to almost every woman when they’re pregnant, so you may have a good chance of this happening to you as well.
Cravings
First of all, we often have cravings from start to finish. They aren’t happening all the time, but we definitely get in the mood for certain things. It’s almost like being on your period and craving chocolate, but sometimes it’s other things than chocolate.
Tired
We may tend to get sleepy more often or easier. Although, how can you blame us? Now we’re taking care of two people in one body. The changes that your body is going through will make you more tired than usual some days, but this is completely normal.
You may also find that in the first trimester, you’re pretty exhausted. This is when your baby does the most developing, and when your body goes into action for preparing everything perfectly. So, the beginning and the end when your baby is almost due are the most tiresome.
Moody
It happens. We may tend to get a little moody here and there. Maybe we’re not feeling too good that day, or things are just “getting” to us more than usual. Try not to have a short temper, and just relax. Take a deep breath and just pause. This isn’t always capable of happening though because our hormones can sometimes get the best of us.
Emotional
It happens to every woman at some point, we get a little emotional. The things that wouldn’t really bother us do, and the things we get excited over wouldn’t be as exciting if we weren’t pregnant. We go through every emotion when we’re pregnant. Pregnancy is also known as an emotional roller coaster. We have our excitement, our fear, our impatience and our sad days.
Pain
Sometimes the pain comes at us. Whether it’s our back, our feet, or our little one kicking us that doesn’t make us feel too well. Hopefully we have a nice soon to be dad that will take care of us in the meantime!
There is a lot to expect when we’re expecting. Our body goes through several different changes, and therefore we have unusual things happen to us. Although, every part of this is normal, unless it doesn’t get too excessive.
Throughout your whole pregnancy you need to make sure you’re being monitored by your OB/GYN. They will be able to check on you, your baby, how they’re developing. They will also give you tips, suggestions and make sure your baby is progressing well by listening to their heartbeat and seeing them on an ultrasound.
TIP: One thing that can’t be stressed enough is that you are getting prenatal care. It is so important that you avoid certain foods, keep others to a minimum, and that you’re getting enough of certain vitamins and minerals. Prenatal vitamins are an absolute must! These nutrients can help reduce birth defects in babies, so it’s so important!
