When we bring our baby home we’re always looking out for their safety, and what is best for them.  Also, a baby needs a lot of items to get them through the day, one being diapers.  Diapers are a little controversial because some parents recommend cloth diapers, and others recommend disposable diapers.  They both have their advantages and disadvantages, it just really depends on which one works better for the two of you.

One thing you should think about is your baby’s skin.  Some babies have more sensitive skin than others, which means they get irritated by certain diapers.  If you’re looking to find the diaper that is best for your little one’s skin, continue reading below.

Cloth – Cloth diapers are known to be better for a baby’s skin.  Not to mention, they are more sanitary sometimes.  The soft cloth is a lot easier on a baby than a plasticy feel rubbing against them all day.

Disposable – There are some great disposable diapers, don’t get me wrong.  Just the majority of them cause more skin rashes and irritation than most cloth diapers do.  Not to mention, most parents let their baby urine more in a disposable diaper because they have to go so frequently.  With a disposable diaper you will hold more than a cloth, although that just means your baby will be in a dirty diaper longer that is collecting bacteria.

It is also a good idea to get some baby lotions, and some nice, non-sensitive baby wipes to wipe in between changing diapers.  These will moisturize your baby’s skin leaving it soft and flawless like it should be.  So all in all, cloth diapers seem to be recommended more by moms with baby’s of sensitive skin.
